How to log GPS and avoid roaming charges

Option 1: Buy a local simcard. You will easily get the money back through savings on public transit and well-rated places you wouldnt have found through sitting on wifi at your hotel.

Option 2: When recording, keep Airplane Mode off and Cellular Data off. GPS will still work. Update map cache whenever you are on wifi.
